Preventing Agitation, Aggression & Assault
     
 

Up to 25% of elde rly patients commit assault at some time d uring their stay in healthcare care facilities. Furthermore, in a recent study which monitored assaults for one year, only 203 out of 1,100 incidents were actually reported. Agitation, aggression, and assault interfere with adequate care, and can lead to serious problems that affect everyone in the facility. This seminar will show you how to prevent assaults and reduce injuries, complaints, turnover and litigation, and increase the quality of l ife for residents and staff alike.

• Develop an awareness of how medical, interpersonal, and environmental factors contribute to assault

• Implement caregiving techniques to reduce assault
