Hallucinations, delusions and other types of bizarre behavior can make caregiving difficult. This workshop will help you understand the types of hallucinations, delusions, and misperceptions. You will learn what causes these experiences, and how they affect behavior. Most im portantly, you will learn effective methods of minimizing the impact of hallucinations and delusions on staff and patie nts.

• recognize the different types of hallucinations and delusions

• identify the ways that hallucinations affect behavior

• Deal effectively with the disruptive behaviors caused by them.
